Fiona is a Trustee of the Pelvic Partnership and one of our founding members from 2002. Fiona was involved in setting up our Facebook support group in 2019 and is also supporting our work on the COVID-19 Public Inquiry.
Here is Fiona's story:
"I experienced PGP in both pregnancies, ending up on crutches and in a wheelchair. I saw some very kind NHS physiotherapists who were sympathetic and understanding but "couldn't treat someone who was pregnant" except with advice about keeping my knees together. When I finally accessed a practitioner who examined how my pelvis was functioning and did some manipulations to unstick an over-rotated sacro-iliac joint, I recovered. The frustration I feel that this happened and is still happening has kept me volunteering for the Pelvic Partnership ever since, even though my younger child is in her twenties."
