We need your help. Without increased donations, we won’t be able to continue supporting women with PGP. We operate on just £10k a year – every donation counts. Please donate today to help us continue to offer our vital support.

Mel joined the Pelvic Partnership as a volunteer to raise awareness of PGP and let people know that, "you are not alone. This is not in your head. It is not normal to be in pain in pregnancy or postpartum. And you can get better with manual therapy"

Mel has lived experience with long-term, severe PGP. She accepted the pain as a normal part of pregnancy and postpartum healing and was unaware of PGP and the treatment options available. Her mental health was hugely affected long term as a result of the impact of chronic pain, which restricted her ability to parent her daughter in the way she envisaged. The Pelvic Partnership guidance and stories helped her to feel heard and not alone, and she finally found treatment with chiropractic therapy.

We are lucky to have Mel contributing to the charity in many ways including through mental health research and supporting women as they move through treatment.
